Autumn is a second-year doctoral student in the Human Development and Quantitative Methods Division at Penn GSE. Autumn’s research interests are centered around leveraging her ten years of experience as a humanitarian aid and development practitioner to generate actionable evidence around how to promote children’s positive development in understudied contexts.
This work includes investigating how children’s environments influence their development, the appropriateness of social and emotional constructs and measures across diverse socio-cultural contexts, improving program implementation, and making research findings accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.
Autumn is currently conducting research to understand which individual, home, and school factors promote children’s prosocial skill development in peri-urban Ghana. She is also involved in the RIPPLE Lab at Penn and supports the Parental Nudges Program.
